Intake Session ($180) REQUIRED
Clients must complete an intake session before selecting any other service.
This session will be broken up into three parts:
A 60-minute Zoom meeting or phone call in which I will take an in-depth history of your dog’s health, nutrition, and behaviors. We will discuss the problems you are facing with your dog, the behaviors your dog already knows, and the training goals you would like to accomplish in our future sessions. If I don’t feel like I’m the right person to address your specific training goals, I will refer you to someone who I think can better assist you.
Foundational dog training curriculum to prepare you for your upcoming session. This curriculum will include information about: the five common markers we will use and how to differentiate them during your training sessions, positive & negative reinforcement vs. punishment, stages of learning, reinforcement schedules and packages, the layered stress model, and recommendations for gear we may use.
A 90 minute private lesson with you and your dog. I will review the information from our intake interview and come to the session with a customized training plan tailored to your dog’s needs. We will focus on foundational dog training information and 2-3 exercises or skills related to your dog’s specific training goals.
Dog specific curriculum and homework that includes step-by-step training exercises and information that was covered in the initial session.
